Thanks for the advice. I somehow managed to get the exact turn signal relay for this bike (although I made the mistake of paying $40 for it), replaced it, and it works fine now. One thing I noticed, before replacing the relay, was that the grease inside the turn signal switch was "foamy". I have a feeling this is a result of water somehow getting into the switch housing. So I cleaned it all out and recoated it with dielectric grease. I'm not sure if a short here caused the relay to fail or if the relay just happened to fail as a result of time/use, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to clean this out while I happened to have it open anyway.
